NetworkMonitor (FloatNet)

CK Tools ("we", "us", or "our") operates the NetworkMonitor (FloatNet) mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.

🔒 Privacy First: We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). All data processing happens locally on your device and never leaves it.

1. Information Collection and Use

NetworkMonitor displays real-time network statistics (download/upload speed, ping, and data usage) by reading system-level network metrics. This information:

Is processed entirely on your device
Is never transmitted to our servers (we don't have servers)
Is never shared with third parties
Is cleared when you close the app or uninstall it

2. Permissions and Their Purpose

NetworkMonitor requires the following permissions to function:

Usage Access (NetworkStatsManager)

Why we need it: To monitor real-time network traffic and identify which apps are consuming bandwidth (Culprit Detection feature).

How we use it: The app reads network usage statistics from Android's NetworkStatsManager API. This data is displayed in the overlay and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Query All Packages

Why we need it: To display human-readable app names in the culprit detection feature. Without this permission, only package IDs (e.g., "com.example.app") would be shown.

How we use it: The app queries the system's package manager to convert package IDs into app names for display purposes only.

Display Over Other Apps

Why we need it: To show the floating window overlay with real-time network statistics.

How we use it: The app creates a transparent overlay window that displays network metrics while you use other apps.

3. Third-Party Services

NetworkMonitor may include the following third-party services:

Google AdMob (Rewarded Video Ads)

We use AdMob to provide optional rewarded video ads that unlock premium features for 12 hours. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data according to Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Play Billing (In-App Purchases)

We use Google Play Billing for lifetime premium purchases. All payment processing is handled by Google Play. We do not have access to your payment information. Transactions follow Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage and Retention

NetworkMonitor stores the following data locally on your device only:

App settings (theme, window size, update interval, etc.)
Premium unlock status (whether you purchased or unlocked via ad)

This data is stored using Android's SharedPreferences and is automatically deleted when you uninstall the app.

5. Children's Privacy

NetworkMonitor does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective when posted on this page.
